東高殿幼稚園の課外教室がスタートして　　とても楽しいレッスンができています

４月から　ディビッド先生から　「Ｍｒ．リグビー」へ呼び方をかえました

英語圏の学校では　先生をファーストネームでは呼びません

日本でも　「山田先生」　など　苗字ですよね　

最初子供たちは　「ミスター　ビグリー？」　と　シドロモドロ　

でも　今ではすっかり定着しています　

「ミズ　リグビー」　（私のこと）　の　「ミズ」　が　言いにくいみたいだったけど

でも　でも　それも大丈夫　

今週の第２回レッスンは　Ｍｒ．リグビーが担当していますが

子供たちが教室に入ってきて　「ミズ　リグビーはどこ？」　と

探してくれていたようです

うれしいなぁ　

かわいいなぁ　

明日は　木曜日の年長さんクラスの第１回目

先週は遠足だったので　明日からスタートです　

私もレッスンに参ります　

楽しみです　

そして　明日は　息子の遠足　　海遊館だぜ～

から揚げの仕込みもバッチリ　

でも　そろそろ　寝なくちゃね　　起きられん・・

東高殿幼稚園 Ｂｅ ＆ Ｍｅ Ｋｉｄｓ 年少！

こちらは、真由美のブログから・・・


昨日は　東高殿幼稚園　英語課外教室　Be & Me Kids の年少さんを対象にした体験レッスンを行いました！たくさんの参加とお申込みを頂きました　

ありがとうございました　

ママと離れて幼稚園生活！　息子ががんばってたあの頃を思い出します！

保育時間のレッスンと課外教室での英語時間が子供たちに少しづつ、確実に浸透していくように工夫をしていきますね！

さてさて　４月から始まった高殿幼稚園でのレッスン　
最初の２週間は　幼児教室にて

未就園児さんが歌にあわせて　ピョンピョンはねたり　踊ったり　
週４日　３０分のレッスンに　自由にスポットで参加しています
先週４回とも参加した女の子は　週末には歌も言葉も覚えて　
Ｍｒ．リグビーもびっくり　
「　ごめんね！　可愛いガールフレンドができちゃったよ　」
告白されてしまいました　

明日は　幼児教室での特別企画　≪　幼児英会話　Ｃｌｕｂ　≫です！
Ｍｒ．リグビーと私で　２時間　たっぷり英語で遊びます　
歌や踊りはもちろん　
色や果物のレッスンをしてから　園庭で　”くだもの探し”ゲームで盛り上がる予定です！
りんごやバナナの可愛い手作りカードも作りました　
晴れてほしいなぁ　

今週からは　保育時間のレッスンも年中さん、年長さんの課外教室もスタート！
「子供たちの身近な世界にある言葉から教えていきたい」
その思いから、幼稚園バス、運転手さん、幼稚園の先生、子供たちが描いた絵、トイレのマークなどなど、Ｍｒ．リグビーは園内の写真を撮ってカードに仕立て上げる毎日　
でも　子供たちがいち早く気がついて嬉しそうに反応してくれているので　やりがいがあります！

私のブログでは　子供たちのお顔がわからないようにして掲載させて頂いています。写真はあくまでも　ヘタな文章をサポートしてくれるツールとしてとらえています

Golden Week / Children's Day

 Hope everyone's having a fun Golden Week!  We decided to start the holiday with a visit to the Osaka Aquarium ( 海遊館 /Kaiyukan ).  Going to such a popular sightseeing spot on the first day of a long national holiday was a bit of a mistake!  We had a good time, despite the crowds...

 After that, we walked around the harbor front, looking at the boats.  We were delighted to see huge carp streamers ( 鯉幟 / Koinobori ) flying above the Santa Maria harbor cruiser...

Which reminds me: Today is Children's Day in Japan.  Enjoy your Children's Day!

Rain, Rain Go Away!

 

Rain, rain, go away.

Come again another day.

Little Johnny wants to play,

So rain, rain, go away!

（雨よ去れ！また別の日においで。ジョニー坊やが外で遊びたがってるから、雨よ去れ！）

英語には「雨」を表現するたくさんの言葉があります。

ポツリポツリと降る雨は・・ It's spitting.

ちょうど傘が要るくらいの雨は・・ It's drizzling.

平均的な強さの雨は・・　It's raining.

もっと強い雨は・・　It's pouring.

豪雨の場合は・・　It's raining cats and dogs!

最 後の表現は３００～４００年前のイギリスを起源としています。当時、街はかなり不衛生なものでした。建物は犇めきあい、人々は生ごみを窓から建物の間へ放 り投げて捨てていました。のら犬やのら猫はそこに溜まった生ごみを漁っていました。のら犬やのら猫の死体も建物の間に放置され、大雨が降ると通りへと流れ でてくるのです。その様子を見た人々が、冗談まじりで、「犬や猫の死体が雨と一緒に降ってきた！」と表現したといわれています。

今度雨が降ったら、紹介したいろんな雨表現を使ってみてください。

Kindergarten Classes Enrollment Day

Today is Easter – the most important Christian holiday.

Easter is closely linked to the Jewish holiday of Passover (people often forget that Jesus was Jewish). The date of Passover is based on a lunar calendar so it changes every year. This year, Passover fell on March 30th – yesterday! Christians believe that Jesus Christ was executed [killed by the government] on Good Friday, the day before Passover. Two days later, he came back to life, proving to everyone that he was the Son of God.

Traditionally, children celebrated Easter by decorating hard-boiled eggs and then giving them to friends & family. Recently, children are given gifts of decorated chocolate eggs, rabbits, and chicks. They are told that the chocolates were delivered to their homes by the Easter Bunny early in the morning while they were still sleeping. Some people hold picnics that feature Easter-egg hunts. The picnic organizers hide decorated eggs around the picnic site. Children search for the eggs, trying to find as many as they can. One of the most famous Easter-egg hunts in the world is held at the American White House each year.

The eggs, rabbits & chicks are all symbols of new life used in ancient European spring festivals celebrated thousands of years before the birth of Jesus Christ. Even the name “Easter” comes from these ancient festivals. Eastre was the ancient German goddess of spring. When the Christians came to power in Europe, they took over the old spring festival. They said that the traditional symbols of new life (eggs, rabbits & chicks) now represent Jesus coming back to life.

Even if you’re not Christian, you can still celebrate Easter. It’s easy – just eat some chocolate!

新しい教室が始まります！

こんにちは！

今年にはいって　大阪市旭区にある　東高殿幼稚園 から　英語レッスンの依頼を頂きました！

日本語の読み書きはもちろん　運動や絵工作など　幅広いカリキュラムに取り組んでいる幼稚園です。

英会話レッスンも　いち早く導入されていましたが　今春より　さらに充実させるべく　私たち　Be & Me 英会話 Club　に白羽の矢を立ててもらったのです。

何度も打ち合わせをし　私たちの英会話レッスンへの取り組みを　東高殿幼稚園の幼児教育へのビジョンへ　うまく融合させて　楽しい活動をとおして　園児たちに英語が身近な生活を送ってもらうことになりました！

リグビーは　週４日　午前１０時～午後２時まで　保育時間に英会話レッスンをおこないます。　幼児教室では３０分　園児クラスでは４０分のレッスンです。　年少・年中・年長の各クラスをまわりますので　週１度のレッスンになりますが　お昼を一緒に食べる日もありますよ！　午後からは　園庭や園内で園児たちと自由に接する時間になり　季節の花々や虫たちを観察しながら　さらに子供たちの世界に密着した英語表現を教えていきます！

そして　東高殿幼稚園課外教室　Be & Me Kids　を　リグビーと私で　始めます！定員１０名という少人数のクラスで　保育時間のレッスンで覚えた単語や表現の反復練習・発音やイントネーションの指導・フォニックスを取り入れた読み書きの練習を　飽きのこない楽しいレッスンのなかで　もっとパーソナルにおこなっていきます！！

今週　２日間にわたって体験レッスンをしました！私たちのティーチングスタイルを実際に見ていただき　園児だけではなく　ママさんたちにも声にだして参加してもらい　楽しいレッスンになったと思います。たくさんの方に　Be & Me Kids への申し込みを頂きました！ありがとうございます！　よろしくお願いします！

また　幼稚園代休日や長期休暇期間に　「幼児英会話Ｃｌｕｂ」　「園児英会話Ｃｌｕｂ」 を開催します。　これは　リグビーと私二人で　幼児さんとは２時間　園児たちとは４時間　ゆっくりと英語で過ごすというものです。　レッスンをして　お昼を食べて　絵を描いたり　お面作りをしたり　園庭に出たり　お話を読んでみたり・・たっぷり英語のシャワーをあびてもらう内容になっています！

心斎橋＆鶴見教室でコツコツ丁寧にやってきた成果が私たちの自信です！生徒のみんな　そして　ママさんパパさん　いつもありがとうございます！これからも　楽しいレッスンやイベントを期待してくださいね。

Saint Valentine's Day

Tomorrow is Saint Valentine’s Day! All across Japan, ladies will be giving obligatory gifts [gifts they feel they should give] to all their male friends – family members, classmates, teachers, co-workers, and so on.

In Western countries, the custom is almost completely opposite. Traditionally, men give a romantic gift – flowers, jewelry, lingerie, perfume, or chocolate – to their special girlfriend. Hebi Nuru Year!

 Here's wishing you all a happy & healthy 2013!

Every weekday morning my family & I watch "Zero Roku Go Go" (06:55) on NHK.  On Mondays, my son always checks his "Tanakuchi," a weekly fortune predicted by comedian Yuji Tanaka.  Many pictures of Tanaka San holding cards with various fortunes printed on them are flashed onto the screen so quickly they are impossible to read.  My son chooses his fortune by taking a photo.

This year, there was a special "Zero Roku Go Go" broadcast in the early minutes of the New Year.  Tanaka San presented a  "Tanakuchi" for all of 2013.  Of course, my family & I were ready with our cameras...
